Our Wines

Connor Park has quickly established an enviable reputation for its range of quality wines. Our wines are handcrafted with the emphasis being on the quality of the fruit being delivered from the vineyard. Traditional winemaking methods are used with the least possible chemical intervention from the vineyard to the bottle.

White Wines

2002 Marsanne

Our Marsanne has a dry lingering finish with honeysuckle and peach flavours against subtle oak background. Typically a variety that develops with maturity this is an interesting style that can cellar well. 

2006 Riesling - Out of stock

Initial ripe and fruit driven flavours dominate the palate with a fresh green apple bouquet.. The palate exhibits soft lemon and lime accents with lively crisp acidity and subtle hints of  honey.  Food Match : fish or cheese fondue.

2007 Semillon-Chardonnay

Lifted citrus and lychee aromas lead you into this wine, which is full bodied yet delicate in its style. This wine is continuing to develop and improve with bottle age. 

Red Wines

2002 Cabernet

A bouquet of ripe cherries and grapes the palate displays spicy ripe fruit characters with peppermint and eucacalypty flavours and a trace of licorice. Brilliant crimson hues dominate the colour and persistent sweet fruit balances this medium bodied wine. The soft finish is integrated with very fine tannins.

2002 Mourvedre

Rich crimson in colour with wild cherries and aniseed bouquet . Hints of coconut ice and vanillin oak intermingled with the soft plum and wild cherry flavours.

2002 Sparkling Shiraz

Elegance, style and flavour abound in this complex Sparkling Shiraz. Plum, wild berries and chocolate flavours are balanced by some very subtle oak tannins with a fine bead and a dry lingering finish. This old favorite is best enjoyed with pre-dinner horsdeurves.

2003 Barbera

Dense concentration of mocha, spices and prune aromas A full round palate with coffee and licorice ,  and lingering soft oak with a vibrant fruit finish.

Food Match : Spicy Italian Sausage Risotto

2003 Durif

Nearly opaque with bright crimson edges you immediately know this is a serious wine. The palate does not let you down exhibiting intense black plum flavours and smokey oak. A powerful wine with sizeable tannin which is countered by a palate of length and intensity.

2003 Merlot

Deep red with purple tinges. The bouquet is distinctly cigar box and liquorice. The palate displays soft plum and wild berry flavours with earthy overtones balanced by subtle oak tannins and a hint of spice lingering on the long finish.

2003Sangiovese

Medium bodied, elegant and youthful this wine displays savoury fruit and spice aromas. Fresh strawberry and a rich earthiness abound on the palate and finish with fine tannins and lingering acidity. 

2004 Shiraz

Rich crimson hues accompany the sensual deep berry flavours with traces of pepper and spice on the mid palate. Integrated with sweet vanillan oak this wine is a soft finishing wine that is drinking well now or will cellar for 5-6 years.

2004 The Honour

Dignified and opulent. Black cherry in colour with a full ripe palate which is balanced with American oak. Ripe blackberries with traces of pepper and spice complement the velvety tannins. This is a wine that will reward with cellaring. With previous vintages rating well with renowned US wine critic Robert we beleive the 2004 vintage is amongst our best.
